Supply chain management is an integral part of most businesses and is essential to company success and customer satisfaction. Supply chains are increasingly becoming global. Global supply chain management (GSCM) is like traditional, supply chain management, except that it involves a company's worldwide interests and suppliers rather than simply a local operation. So GSCM may be regarded as the management of the supply chains physically situated far from one another. It is the synchronization of demand and supply across all the nodes of supply chain. This paper provides a brief introduction on global supply chain management.
