This paper discusses a curricular path towards effective integration of interdisciplinary collaborative component into electrical engineering education. We first studied, quantitatively and qualitatively, the level of interest engineering students have in interdisciplinary studies and creative activity. We found out that students are quite interested. We continue by proposing a four-phase path towards effective integration of interdisciplinary study into the classic EE curriculum.
