Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is a graphical representation of the cardiac muscle activity, which is most important biomedical signal. Cardiac Arrhythmia is the abnormality in the Heart which can be diagnosed with the help of Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. The features of ECG signal can be extracted using various techniques are present in the literature. The peak detection of the QRS Complex and test its suitability for medical diagnosis using MIT-BIH database is present in the literature, and the results are compared with the existing models by taking mean absolute relative error and Error% as performance criteria. Finally identified that there is scope of research in Cardiac Arrhythmia and Computational Intelligence techniques are giving the better results.
